Hôtel 20°Sud (20°South) is geographically on a premier site enjoying the most sunshine, set beside the turquoise sea at Pointe Malartic, between Pointe aux Canonniers and Grand Baie. Nestled at the mouth of the bay, it faces east, with a light breeze that is most welcome in the summer.

Although nearby to the village of Grand Baie, the little ‘St Trop’ of Mauritius, the hotel is secluded within private estates and accessible only by a small road used for local residential traffic. The hotel overlooks the huge bay, sheltered from the waves and with a continual light breeze all year round, making it a perfect location for windsurfers and catamaran lovers. In fact, it is a paradise for sailing in all its forms, such as putting a Hobbie Cat through its paces, or trying out the new generation of sail board; equally, guests may book an instructor, preferably from May to October in order to have the best wind. The nearby islands to the north of Coin de Mire, Ile Ronde and Ile Plate are ideal for picnics, diving and snorkelling excursions.
